Tribes of Omo Valley, Mursi, Body, Hammer,

Karo, Dasanech Elbore and Konso

Omo Valley is famous for being the home of different groups of people (over 40 tribes live in a limited space). The tribes of the Omo Valley depend on livestock; they are pastoralist and semi nomadic. Each has their own territory and lives respecting the border of their neighboring tribes, sometimes there will be a conflict because of the grazing-land. They have very vast grazing-land and they live in the middle of wild animals. Their culture is the result of the environment that surrounds them. Because they strictly live in their own territory, each tribe has its own distinct culture from the others, which makes Omo Valley the land of colorful tribes and mosaic of culture. On this tour we will take you to the villages of Mursi, Bodi, Bena, Karo, Hammar, Dasanech, Elbore and Konso Tribes.
